American art exhibit: “American Spirit: The A.G. Edwards/Wachovia
Securities Collection” is on display through July 13 in
the Daywood Gallery at the Huntington Museum of Art, 2033 McCoy
Road. The 55 works in the exhibition address our “American
Spirit” with an array of prints, posters, and photographs
from the mid-19th century to the end of the 20th century. A companion
collection, “Bill of Rights” in the Daywood Print
Room, is a series of 15 screen prints by American artist Paul
Levy depicting artistic representations of a selection of the
rights granted to each American under the United States Constitution.
Admission is $5, $18 per family of four or more, and free on Tuesdays

2008 Family Expo: The 2008 Family Expo, featuring local vendors,
a petting zoo and inflatables, will be presented at the Big Sandy
Superstore Arena from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday April 20. Admission
is free.

Blenko Glass exhibit: “Blenko: West Virginia’s Gift
to the World,” on display through May 4 in the Switzer Gallery
at the Huntington Museum of Art, highlights the importance of
one of West Virginia's most famous glass producers. The exhibit
features more than 100 pieces of antique glass from the collections
of the West Virginia State Museum, the Huntington Museum of Art,
the Blenko Factory collection, and private collections. Admission
